The Emeth Ensemble is...
Mikyung Sung attended Sunhwa Arts School, was admitted to Korea National University of Arts as a gifted pre-college student, and received her Artist Diploma from The Colburn School in Los Angeles. She won the grand prize, audience prize, and several special prizes at the 2010 J.M. Sperger Competition, the Thomas Martin prize for best performance of a work by Bottesini and 2nd place overall at the 2015 ISB Competition, and the internet-voted prize and Honorable Mention overall at the 2017 Bradetich Competition, as well as 1st prize at several Korean competitions. She has been invited to perform as soloist with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonic, Philharmonie Baden-Baden, Philharmonia Corea, Colburn Orchestra, KNUA Orchestra, and Caesura Youth Orchestra, as well as in numerous recitals. She has been featured on Korean national radio and television. She performed as a Principal Double Bass with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and taught at the Shanghai Orchestra Academy. Seongsu Hong attended Korea National University of Arts and graduated from the University of Music in Essen, Germany, where he served as the NRW Orchestra's Brazilian and Italian tour lead. He was a member of the Lubeck Philharmonic training academy and performed as a guest member of the Dusseldorf and Neuer Philharmonic Orchestras. Instagram: @hssbass
Hyungwook Jo attended Yonsei University College of Music where he won the Yonsei University Concerto Night Collaboration and was orchestra prinicipal.
